How To Use & Care

Master your EJanMay hair dryer with proper technique, safety awareness, and routine maintenance — everything you need to get the best performance and longest lifespan from your device.

01 / Product Guide

Use It Right

The official EJanMay PRO-1500 user manual — distilled into four essentials: optimal distance, hair-type matrix, control specifications, and the complete drying protocol. Follow these to protect your hair and extend the dryer’s life.

Optimal Distance Standards Manual · §1

Maintaining the correct nozzle-to-hair distance is the single most important factor for safe, effective drying. Too close damages hair and scalp; too far extends drying time and reduces styling control.

General Drying
15–20cm

Standard distance for everyday drying. Keeps airflow effective without overheating individual strands.

Near Scalp
20–25cm

When drying close to the roots or scalp, increase distance to prevent skin irritation and heat discomfort.

Precision Styling
12–15cm

For detailed shaping with a concentrator nozzle — only for short bursts on medium heat, never on maximum.

Usage Matrix by Hair Type Manual · §2

Different hair textures respond differently to heat and airflow. Use this matrix to choose the right combination — never exceed the recommended settings for fine or children’s hair.

Hair TypeTemperatureAirflowNotes
Normal HairMedium (55–60°C)MediumStandard daily routine. Safe for regular use.
Fine / Thin HairCool–Low (45–50°C)SoftLower settings prevent breakage and scalp stress.
Coarse / Thick HairHigh (65–70°C)StrongSafe at high temp for short durations. Keep moving.
Children’s HairCool Only (<45°C)SoftUse cool shot only. Always maintain 25 cm distance.

Control Specifications Manual · §3

The PRO-1500 features three heat levels, three airflow speeds, and a cool-shot button. Understanding these settings allows you to dial in the right combination for any styling need.

Drying Protocol Manual · §4

A four-step protocol for safe, effective drying. Following this sequence protects your hair from heat damage and produces salon-quality results at home.

Maintain Proper Distance

Keep the dryer 15–20 cm from your hair at all times. If you feel heat on your scalp or skin, you are too close — pull back immediately.

Keep the Dryer Moving

Never hold the dryer stationary on one section. Use continuous back-and-forth or up-and-down motions to distribute heat evenly and prevent localized overheating.

Dry in the Direction of Hair Growth

Always direct airflow from roots to ends, following the natural cuticle direction. This smooths the hair shaft, reduces frizz, and adds natural shine.

Apply the 80% Rule

Stop heat drying when hair is about 80% dry. Allow the remaining moisture to air-dry, or finish with the cool-shot button to lock in shine and reduce thermal stress.

Maintenance & Care Care Guide

Routine maintenance is the single biggest factor in extending your dryer’s lifespan. A clogged filter reduces airflow by up to 40%, forces the motor to work harder, and shortens component life. Follow these care habits to keep your device performing like new.

Clean the Rear Filter Weekly

Unplug the dryer, then gently brush the rear mesh filter with a soft brush or use a vacuum on low suction. A clogged filter is the #1 cause of motor failure.

Frequency · Weekly

Wipe the Housing Monthly

Use a soft, slightly damp microfiber cloth on the body and nozzle. Never submerge the dryer or let water enter the air vents. Dry completely before use.

Frequency · Monthly

Store in a Dry, Cool Place

Allow the dryer to cool fully before storing. Coil the cord loosely — never wrap tightly around the handle, as this damages the internal wiring over time.

Frequency · Every Use

Inspect the Cord & Plug

Check the power cord regularly for nicks, kinks, or exposed wire. Discontinue use immediately if you notice any damage and contact After-Sales support.

Frequency · Monthly

Deep-Clean the Filter Monthly

For a deeper clean, remove the filter cage (if your model allows) and rinse under lukewarm water. Allow to air-dry for at least 24 hours before reattaching.

Frequency · Monthly

Avoid Heat-Styling Products Buildup

Hairspray and heat-protectant residue can accumulate on the nozzle. Wipe the concentrator and diffuser attachments after each use to prevent sticky buildup.

Frequency · Every Use
02 / Safety Warnings

Read Before Use

Your safety is non-negotiable. These warnings protect against electrical shock, fire, and burns. Review them before first use and any time a new person uses the device.

!

Never Use Near Water

Do not use the dryer in bathrooms, near bathtubs, showers, sinks, or any vessel containing water. Electrical shock risk is severe and potentially fatal. Always dry hair in a separate, dry room.

!

Unplug Immediately After Use

Never leave the dryer plugged in while unattended. Switch off and unplug from the outlet directly — do not pull on the cord. A plugged-in dryer can overheat or short-circuit without warning.

Keep Away from Children

Children should not operate this device unsupervised, and the device should be stored out of their reach. The heater element and nozzle become hot during use and remain hot for several minutes after switching off.

Do Not Block Air Vents

Never obstruct the rear intake or front nozzle during operation. Blocked airflow causes rapid overheating, automatic shut-off, or in extreme cases, motor damage. If the dryer stops suddenly, allow it to cool before restarting.

Avoid Contact with Skin & Eyes

The metal concentrator nozzle reaches high temperatures. Do not touch it directly during or immediately after use. Keep airflow away from eyes and face. Always direct airflow toward hair only.

Stop Use If Damaged

If the cord is frayed, the housing is cracked, the dryer emits unusual smells, makes abnormal sounds, or fails to heat correctly, discontinue use immediately and contact After-Sales support. Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the device yourself.

Use Only the Original Power Source

Connect only to a grounded AC outlet matching the voltage printed on the device label. Do not use adapters or converters — mismatched voltage can cause fire or permanent damage.
